Our vision is to obey the truth we presently know and then pursue God’s enduring plans as He reveals them to us. Then, when our assignment intersects your need, we intend to be properly prepared and available to faithfully represent His purpose.

We know that God holds the key to our safety, success and satisfaction. As His agents, we seek to deliver God’s grace and love in effective ways. If God is inspiring you to find a church home or learn more about Him through authentic worship and responsible Bible study, you will want to visit us.

We are a church in transition, looking for where God is leading in 2019 and beyond. Perhaps He is calling you to play a critical role is this transition. You may be the person or have the critical gifts that we need to make more than incremental gains towards His ultimate vision.

GODGod is the Creator of everything! He has eternally existed in three persons: the Father, the Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.

THE FATHERHe is all-powerful, all knowing, all loving, and all wise. He reigns with providential care over the universe and the flow of human history goes according to His purposes and plan.

THE SON (Jesus)Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus has eternally existed and became man at His incarnation. He lived a sinless human life and offered himself as the perfect sacrifice for our sins by dying on a cross. He bodily arose from the dead after three days to prove His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven’s glory and will return again someday to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

THE HOLY SPIRITHe is the third person of the Trinity. He guides men into all truth, exalts Christ, convicts of sin, righteousness and judgment, cultivates Christian character, comforts believers, bestows spiritual gifts by which believers serve God and seals the believer unto the day of final redemption. His presence in the lives of believers is the assurance of God to bring us into the fullness of the stature of Christ.

SCRIPTUREThe Bible is God’s Word to us. It is sufficient as our single-source on how to live; it is authoritative as the un-mixed Word of God; it is our Father’s clear and comprehensible Word to His children.

SALVATIONSalvation is God’s free gift to us that no amount of self-improvement or good works can deliver. Only by trusting Jesus can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty. Then out of gratitude we turn from our self-ruled life to one of following Jesus. Eternal life begins the moment we are saved.

THE CHURCHThe Church is the Bride of Christ. It is also a local band of followers who collaborate by their common faith and fellowship with Jesus Christ. Joined together, they work to discover their calling, and then strive to express it through employing their talents in service to Christ’s mission. Jesus’ instructions to the New Testament Church were to make disciples and bear witness of Jesus’ redemptive work.

LOVE AND UNITYLove is a choice, an act of will. Love is also a Person. Christians are commanded to love God and love mankind as the foundation of their obedience to God. Part of loving like Jesus means Christians are to also choose to live in responsible harmony with one another, placing other’s needs above their own, and showing greater respect to weaker members. Love and unity define Christian reality.

Our Leadership Team
PASTOR DAVE HOWARD

David (Dave) Howard and his wife Sharon have lived and served in many places across North America. Dave’s ministry career began while at California Baptist College, when he worked as an associate pastor on several church staffs. Becoming a church-planting missionary in Arizona, then a national missionary in Georgia, Dave has been blessed to assist new and established congregations in more than fifteen states and Canada.
​
At various times in his ministry, Dave served at: The Central Association of Southern Baptists, Phoenix, AZ; The Arizona Southern Baptist Convention; The North American Mission Board, SBC; and the Metropolitan New York Baptist Association.
​
Throughout his tenure as church planter, missionary, pastor or mission strategist, Dave has consistently led with a strong preference for lay ministry involvement. Whether revitalizing churches through an Acts 1:8 strategy or discovering strengths as the basis for member engagement, he is committed to the principles of mission, purpose and engagement.
​
Dave and his wife Sharon together enjoy personal fitness, travel and staying actively involved in the lives of their adult children and grandchildren. Local Ministries
George Washington Health & Rehabilitation
​
Our ministry at George Washington Health & Rehabilitation is a musical one, which involves a monthly hour visit to lead residents in singing patriotic and seasonal songs as well as favorite hymns. One aspect that the residents especially look forward to is the “band”, where they are actively engaged in playing their choice of rhythm instruments to accompany themselves in singing traditional Sunday School songs and praise choruses.
Global Missions
We take seriously the Acts 1:8 commission to “…be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” We give a portion of our offerings to support worldwide evangelism and church planting.
Wade & Barbara Akins
PIONEER MISSIONS GLOBAL
This couple has a multi-faceted ministry. They are currently delivering Pioneer Evangelism Training, conducting Bible Conferences, organizing Reading Glasses Ministries, enabling School Evangelism, and organizing and participating in Open Air Services. A Clean Water Well Ministry also provides clean water and an opportunity to share the Living Water message.

We are truly blessed to partner with Minako as she works to be the hands and feet of Jesus to the Japanese students in the Washington D.C. area.

The Southern Baptist Conservatives of Virginia is a fellowship of more than 700 churches dedicated to the fulfillment of the Great Commission. The convention began in 1996 based on a belief in the inerrancy of Scriptures and committed to church planting as a means to reach the world for Christ.
Our contributions to the SBC of Virginia help fund the North American Mission Board and the International Mission Board.
